LINXIA, China - September 28, 2025 – A notable upgrade to the rural power grid in Jishishan County, Gansu Province, is nearing completion, promising a surge in economic opportunity for the region. Already, the first phase of expanded distribution capacity – comprising 12 new units – is operational, with a second batch of 14 units slated for immediate acceptance. This translates to an 800 kVA increase in transformer capacity and 2.2 kilometers of new power lines.
The impact is already being felt. Six key demonstration projects, including a quinoa processing park in Liuji Township, a cold chain facility in Dahejia Town, and a Chinese medicinal herb drying operation in Shiyuan Town, are directly benefiting from the improved infrastructure. State Grid Linxia Power Supply Company estimates these projects will create employment opportunities for over 1,000 people.
