Ropes & Grey’s Insights Lab Celebrates Five Years of innovation in Risk Management
Ropes & Gray’s Insights Lab is marking its fifth anniversary as a leader in the evolution of legal services, as highlighted in a recent article by the American Lawyer. The piece details how the Lab’s integrated,technology-driven approach is helping clients proactively identify and mitigate emerging risks.
Launched in 2020, the Insights Lab represents a important shift in how legal advice is delivered, according to partner and co-leader Sean Seelinger. He stated in the American Lawyer article, “We’ve helped demonstrate a change in the way legal services are delivered and the methods by which attorneys offer legal advice.”
The Lab’s success stems from its unique multidisciplinary team, bringing together legal expertise with the skills of data and visualization specialists, behavioral scientists, and design professionals. This collaborative structure allows Ropes & Gray to deliver data-driven solutions leveraging AI and advanced analytics, providing clients with a holistic understanding of risk across their portfolios.
Amanda Raad, partner, co-leader of the Insights Lab, and co-head of the anti-corruption and international risk practice, emphasized the Lab’s deep integration within the firm.”The lab isn’t this standalone thing. We are part of the firm. We are fully integrated. We are working on matters in every practice group in every jurisdiction, in front of clients all over the world,” she explained in the article.
Further demonstrating Ropes & Gray’s commitment to this innovative approach, the Insights Lab welcomed Katie Daniels as director of ethics, compliance and insights this summer, solidifying the firm’s dedication to combining legal, behavioral, and data-driven insights.
