Google Launches Affordable ‘Pixelsnap‘ Accessory for Pixel 10 Series, Enabling Qi2 Wireless charging and Docking Features
Google has unveiled the Pixelsnap, a new accessory for its upcoming Pixel 10 series, offering Qi2 wireless charging and a unique docked mode experience.The pixelsnap arrives as Google fully embraces Qi2 wireless charging, integrating the necessary magnets directly into the Pixel 10 models – a move that eliminates the need for users to seek out specific cases with magnetic compatibility, unlike some competitors.
The Pixelsnap accessory suite includes a charger, a ring stand, a case, and a “charger with stand” option. When connected, the Pixel 10 enters a docked mode, displaying details like time, date, whether, and battery percentage. Notably, the phone also functions similarly to the Pixel Tablet within the Google Home app, expanding its utility as a smart home display.Higher-tier Pixel 10 models will support 25W wireless charging speeds when using the Pixelsnap.
This launch marks Google’s first foray into Qi2 accessories, positioning the Pixelsnap as a key component of the Pixel 10 experience.Qi2, the latest wireless charging standard, promises more efficient and reliable power transfer through magnetic alignment.
