Romanian Police Investigating Threat: Email Reveals Possible Terror Attack

Bucharest on High Alert After terror Threat

Secret Service sources exclusively revealed to AFP that a chilling message, threatening widespread violence, was sent on Thursday, July 24, at 8:47 p.m. The email originated from the address [email protected].

“I Will Shoot Firearms in Any Person. I Will Explode Heads, I Will Stab…”

Mediafax has published the full text of the alarming threat,detailing the alleged perpetrator’s violent intentions.

The message stated: “Tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. in the center of Bucharest, I will open fire on every person I see.No one will be spared. I will pass through schools, pharmacies, shops, etc. I will make the streets of Bucharest red.”

The email, addressed to the Local Police sector 2 with the urgent annotation “Maximum importance! Attention,” was immediately escalated to counter-terrorism units.

The sender of the email threatened a massacre in the capital’s center.

The threat indicated that the massacre would occur on Friday, July 25, around 2:00 p.m. in the city center. consequently, enhanced security measures were implemented in the University and Old Town areas. authorities are actively working to identify the individual responsible for transmitting the false but alarming message.

AFP obtained the email, the authenticity of which was confirmed by judicial and intelligence sources. These sources also noted that such threatening messages, including those mentioning “rockets,” “bombs in public places,” or “mass crimes,” are received with some frequency.

“The sender of the email will be identified and held criminally liable, even if the message proves to be false,” the sources warned.
