RMC Life to Replace Chérie 25 on TNT Channel 25 Starting October 1st
Paris, France – September 18, 2025 – French television viewers will see a new channel on TNT channel 25 this fall. CMA Media, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM group led by Rodolphe Saadé, has received final approval from Arcom to acquire Chérie 25 and rebrand it as RMC Life, effective October 1, 2025. The move consolidates CMA Media’s position in the French television landscape and signals a shift in programming focus towards “conviviality and well-being, for women and families.”
The acquisition concludes months of regulatory review following the cessation of NRJ 12 on February 28,2025,leaving Chérie 25 as the sole remaining channel within the NRJ Group. This transition will reshape the TNT channel hierarchy, with RMC Life joining RMC Story (channel 23) and RMC Découverte (channel 24) within the RMC BFM group. The change impacts audiences of both Chérie 25 and the broader TNT ecosystem, as RMC Life aims to establish “an extremely powerful pole of channels” targeting viewers under 50.
According to a press release from Arcom, all suspensive conditions have been lifted, allowing for the finalization of the acquisition by the end of September. The regulatory body was initially seized of the project on May 20, 2025, regarding CMA Media’s intent to take control of Chérie HD (NRJ Group), the editor of Chérie 25. A subsequent request on June 5, 2025, sought approval for the channel name change to ‘RMC Life.’
RMC BFM has announced that details regarding RMC Life’s programming and on-air talent will be revealed during a press conference this Wednesday. Chérie 25 has been a fixture on the TNT platform since its launch on December 12, 2012.
