Riot‘s 2xKO Tag Fighter Enters Early Access October 7th, Promising Years of Content
Los Angeles, CA – September 26, 2024 – fighting game fans, rejoice! The long wait for a new generation of tag fighters is nearing its end, with several promising titles on the horizon. Among them, Riot Games’ 2xKO is gearing up for its Early Access launch on PC, beginning October 7th.
Riot announced today that the Early Access period will coincide with the conclusion of the game’s ongoing closed beta, which recently added fan-favorite champions Vi and Blitzcrank to the roster. Players will be able to team up with friends (or rivals!) for fast-paced 2v2 battles.
Currently, nine playable characters have been confirmed, with a tenth still under wraps:
* Ahri
* Blitzcrank
* Braum
* Darius
* Echo
* Illaoi
* Jinx
* Vi
* Yasuo
* ???
But the launch is just the beginning. Riot has outlined an ambitious content roadmap for 2xKO, promising a full season of gameplay and new features, including combo trials. The initial Early Access phase will allow the advancement team to refine the game’s balance, test the match pass and ranked systems, and gather crucial player feedback.
