Wrestling legend Ric Flair celebrated his 77th birthday on Wednesday, February 25th, marking a milestone he called “perfect” after successfully battling skin cancer in 2025. Flair shared his gratitude on social media, thanking fans for their well wishes and acknowledging a celebratory party held at The Pearl restaurant in Tampa, Florida.

“If You Have To Be 77, I Couldn’t Have Enjoyed A Better Day In My Life,” Flair posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Everything Was Perfect. Thank You To Everyone Who Reached Out And For All The Nice Messages On Social Media. Thank You To The Pearl For The Great Party Last Night! WOOOOO!”

The outpouring of support extended from fellow wrestlers to celebrities. Flair’s daughter, Charlotte, posted a heartfelt message expressing her love for her father. Rapper Killer Mike also publicly acknowledged the occasion, tweeting, “Hit My Guy @RicFlairNatrBoy up to tell him happy born day! 77 years of Woooo! Love ya Champ.”

Despite recent speculation fueled by Flair himself regarding a potential return to the ring against Ricky Morton, the wrestling icon has firmly stated he is retired. His last match took place in 2022, an event during which he reportedly passed out multiple times. Charlotte has publicly voiced her opposition to any future wrestling endeavors by her father, tweeting a definitive “absolutely not” when the possibility was raised.

Born Richard Morgan Fliehr on February 25, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, Flair’s career spans five decades. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in a limited capacity, making sporadic appearances. He initially joined AEW in 2023, participating in a sponsorship deal and appearing as part of Sting’s retirement storyline, according to available records.

Flair is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, having held 16 world championships throughout his career. He previously competed in WWE and the National Wrestling Alliance, among other promotions.
