Renault Korea Appoints Nicola Fari as CEO of India

Renault Korea President stephen Deblrez to Lead Renault Group India Operations

Renault Korea announced today that its current President, Stephen Deblrez, will transition to the role of CEO for Renault Group India, effective September.

Deblrez has held meaningful leadership positions within the automotive sector, including Vice President of A Segent (Light Vehicle) for French and Indian subsidiaries, and Head of the Chinese subsidiary Innovation Lab. since 2023, he has been instrumental in driving Renault GroupS technological innovation and electric vehicle transition as the Vice President of Purchasing for batteries, e-powertrain, advanced driver support systems (ADAS), connectivity, software, and electronic components.

Deblrez assumed the presidency of Renault Korea in February 2022, serving a tenure of three years and six months. During his leadership,Renault Korea successfully launched the Aurora Project,a new vehicle development initiative. The first model from this project debuted in September of the previous year and has achieved significant market success,selling over 45,000 units in Korea,according to Renault Korea.

Under Deblrez’s guidance, Renault Korea also strengthened its future competitiveness through a strategic reorganization of its R&D center and the conversion of the Busan plant’s production line. The company also advanced its domestic brand presence by introducing a new mission statement and adopting a new logo in April of last year.

Renault Korea stated that Deblrez’s appointment as CEO of Renault Group India reflects the group’s confidence in his leadership capabilities.
