Designed with city dwellers in mind, the Firefly EV boasts a compact footprint of approximately 4 meters in length. Its design features include:

The Firefly EV is powered by a 141-horsepower (105 kW) electric motor, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 150 km/h. Its 42.1 kWh battery provides a claimed range of 420 km according to the CLTC cycle. Real-world range is expected to be around 350 km.
Pro Tip: While the CLTC cycle is used for range estimates, the WLTP cycle is more commonly used in Europe. Expect a slightly lower range in real-world conditions compared to the CLTC figure.
Market Impact
The Firefly EV is available in two versions: the Zizai at approximately €15,500 and the faguang at €16,300, featuring premium equipment such as heated and ventilated seats. While it will compete with models like the renault 5 Electric in Europe, potential customs fees could increase its price to €20,000 or higher. Even at this price point, it remains a competitive option.
Nio reduced the price by 19.5% compared to the presale price at its official launch on April 19. Deliveries in China are scheduled to begin on April 29, with a European launch to follow.
