Road Ahead: five Games, Playoff Implications

The Ontario Reign face a crucial juncture in their season as they embark on a five-game road trip. This journey begins tonight in San Jose,followed by a pair of contests in Calgary,and concludes with two additional games against the Barracuda. This road stretch will complete the season series against both clubs, leaving only three remaining games on their 2024-25 regular season schedule, each against different opponents. A victory tonight, or a regulation loss by the Tucson Roadrunners, will secure a playoff berth for the Reign.

New Addition: Otto Salin Joins the Reign

Kings prospect Otto Salin has officially signed an entry-level contract with the institution and has arrived in north America from Finland. He has joined coach Marco Sturm’s squad for the remainder of the season. Though, Salin is not expected too immediately jump into game action.

Coach Sturm currently has a full roster of skaters available and anticipates no issues in finalizing the lineup for tonight’s game.

Goaltending and Defensive Stability

Veteran G Phoenix Copley is slated to start in goal. He has demonstrated exceptional form recently, allowing only one goal in three of his last four starts. On defense, Sturm has maintained consistency, utilizing the same group of six defenders in recent games, suggesting no changes are expected.

Offensive Momentum

Andre Lee is coming off a standout performance Sunday night,contributing two assists and scoring the game-winning goal.
