Red Rocks Gymnastics: Leonie Gervais Joins 2027 Roster

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah’s⁣ Red Rocks gymnastics team has added Canadian gymnast Leonie Gervais to‌ their 2026 signing class, the program announced. Gervais joins fellow Canadian gymnast⁤ Gabrielle Black, as well as Ayla Miller and Madison Denlinger, who will all compete for the Red Rocks ⁢beginning in the 2027 season.

Head coach Carly ⁤Dockendorf praised ​Gervais’ potential ⁢impact, stating, ⁢”We’re excited to welcome another powerhouse Canadian to our program. Leonie’s massive ‌10.0 start value on vault and dynamic tumbling on floor will⁢ bring tremendous depth to those lineups that Red rocks fans ⁤will love. She⁣ is an excellent competitor whose international style ⁣is both distinctive and compelling.”

The Trois-Rivières, Quebec native has enjoyed‍ a successful 2025, highlighted by⁤ a team ⁣bronze medal and individual silver on vault at the WOGA Classic in Texas⁤ in February. She continued her strong performance at Gymnix International, earning gold medals on bars, ​floor, and in the all-around, along with a bronze ⁢on vault.​

In ⁤April,Gervais secured bronze‌ medals ​on beam and ⁢in the all-around,and gold medals on vault and floor at the Provincial Championships. She then earned a gold medal on vault,​ a silver on floor, and a fourth-place finish in the all-around at the Canadian Championships in May.

“As soon as I arrived,I ⁣felt something special,” ‌said Gervais. “The team, the atmosphere, the way⁢ everyone supports each other… I immediately knew⁢ that this was the‌ team ⁤I saw myself⁣ in. I⁢ felt welcomed, comfortable, and above all, inspired. This team gives me the energy to surpass myself, to work‍ harder, and to be the best version of myself.”
