Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis University women’s swimming head coach Phil Hurley unveiled the Red Flash‘s competitive 2025-26 schedule today, balancing dual meets, invitationals, and culminating in the Northeast Conference Championship.
The schedule is designed to strategically prepare the team for peak performance at the conference championship, according to Hurley. The Red flash will face a variety of opponents and competition formats, providing opportunities for both focused race work and broader competitive experience. The team’s success hinges on maximizing these opportunities as they strive for a strong showing at the NEC Championships in February.
The Red Flash kick off the season at the Colgate Invite on October 10-11, followed by a road dual meet at Millersville on October 18. A tri-meet against LIU and Manhattan is slated for October 25.
Saint Francis’ only home competition will be November 7, hosting Lock Haven at Stokes Natatorium. The fall schedule concludes with the Liberty Invite from November 21-23.
Following the winter training period, the team returns to action january 17 at a quad meet hosted by VMI, alongside Howard and American. The Western Pennsylvania Invite, hosted by Carnegie Mellon, follows on January 23-24.
The Northeast Conference Championships will be held February 17-20 at the SPIRE Aquatics Center in Geneva, Ohio, marking the season’s finale.
“The schedule has a nice balance to it,” Hurley said. “We open with invitationals that set the tone, then mix in dual meets where we can really focus on one or two races at a time. Our midseason meet will be an prospect to be well rested and swim super fast, and then we close with conference championships in the third week of February. This lineup sets our athletes up for success.”
