Paramount+ has released the first trailer for Red Alert, a four-part limited series depicting the October 7, 2023, attacks in Israel. the series portrays the deadliest massacre in IsraelS history, when over 1,200 concert-goers, families, and individuals near the gaza border were murdered and 250 were kidnapped by Hamas.
the upcoming series arrives alongside another planned streaming project, HBO’s One Day in October, marking a notable moment as the first scripted portrayals of the tragedy. Both Red alert and One Day in October are slated to premiere on October 7, the two-year anniversary of the attacks.
Red Alert draws from the true experiences of survivors, weaving their stories into a narrative of the terrorist attack and its impact on southern israel. According to promotional material, the series explores themes of humanity and heroism amidst chaos.
The project is created, writen, and directed by Lior Chefetz (The Stronghold) and produced by Keshet media Group and Academy Award nominee Lawrence Bender, alongside Green Productions (Cinema Sabaya) and the IEF (Israel Entertainment fund).
