Missouri Celebrates National Recovery Month with Branson’s 5th Annual Recovery Jamboree

Branson, MO – As National Recovery Month continues, missourians are coming together to celebrate and support those on the path to wellness. This weekend, advocates will host the 5th Annual Recovery Jamboree in Branson, offering a day of connection, resources, and hope.

The event comes at a critical time. According to recent data, nearly one million Missouri residents experience mental illness annually, while approximately 750,000 grapple with substance use disorders. These statistics underscore the urgent need for accessible support and compassionate community engagement.

“It’s an uphill battle every day,” shares Tammy McLaughlin, Executive Director of Stone County Recovery Center and Housing, and a woman in long-term recovery herself. “But with all the resources out there, it makes it easier. It lets people know they’re not alone. That there is help. They just gotta be willing to reach out.” McLaughlin’s center has assisted over 6,000 individuals in the past five years, demonstrating the important demand for recovery services.
