Wrestler Stuart Smith Released From Hospital Following Violent Attack
Los Angeles, CA – Professional wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Sta, has been discharged from the hospital following a brutal attack at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event last week. Smith was hospitalized after being repeatedly struck by Raja Jackson, son of former UFC fighter Rampage Jackson, while seemingly unconscious.
The incident, captured on video, shows Jackson delivering approximately 21 blows to Smith during the event in the Los Angeles area. Fellow wrestlers intervened to stop the assault after several seconds. Smith was initially admitted with numerous head injuries and concerns of potential brain damage.According to a Facebook post from Smith’s account on Sunday, he is now recovering at home and continuing his rehabilitation. while initially unresponsive upon arrival at the hospital, Smith is reportedly not experiencing memory loss. His injuries include a fractured jaw, head trauma, critically important oral lacerations, and missing teeth.
A GoFundMe campaign launched to assist with Smith’s medical expenses has gained significant traction, with contributions from prominent figures including YouTuber MrBeast, as well as wrestlers Chris Jericho, Finn balor, and Nick Nemeth. The campaign aims to raise $200,000 to cover medical bills and financial losses resulting from the attack. Smith is also a U.S.Army veteran.
Authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.
