Yeung Says Copartner Prance Prefers to Lead

Approaching the 1000-metre mark, Ka Ying Attack joined Copartner Prance in the lead. Yeung stated that his mount did not appreciate racing to the inside of Ka Ying Attack and came under pressure when that horse shifted in and away. According to Yeung, Copartner Prance races best when able to dictate terms in the lead.
When questioned about whether an opportunity existed to apply more pressure to contest the lead, Yeung stated that his mount was traveling at its top when challenged by Ka Ying Attack and lacked the necessary acceleration to maintain the position.

Passing the 900-metre mark, Sing Dragon (J141) was steadied when momentarily crowded by Copartner Prance, which shifted in before being corrected. L. Yeung was advised to exercise more care following this incident.
Tomodachi Kokoroe (H303) and Beauty Waves (H294) were both disadvantaged by having to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Veterinary inspections conducted immediately following the race on both Tomodachi Kokoroe and Beauty Waves did not show any significant physical findings.
