Puerto Rico to Host Miss Universe 2026 Competition
San Juan, Puerto Rico – Puerto Rico has been officially selected to host the 75th Miss Universe competition in 2026, the miss Universe Organization announced today. This marks the fifth time the island has hosted the international pageant, previously welcoming the event in 1972, 1993, 2005, adn 2019.
The decision underscores Puerto Rico’s established infrastructure for large-scale events and its continued commitment to tourism. Hosting Miss Universe is expected to generate significant economic impact for the island, boosting tourism revenue and showcasing Puerto Rico’s diverse culture and scenic beauty to a global audience. The 2019 competition, for example, generated an estimated $94.8 million in economic impact.
The Miss Universe Organization highlighted Puerto Rico’s stunning landscapes as a key factor in the selection.
