PS Plus October 2026 games: F1, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and more
Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed the three titles arriving for PlayStation Plus subscribers in October 2026. The new monthly selection, which will be available to claim from Tuesday, October 6, through Monday, November 2, features F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2.
Headlining Titles for PS5
Leading the lineup is F1 25, the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. Available exclusively for PlayStation 5, this entry includes the “My Team 2.0” career mode, allowing players to manage their own racing stable, alongside the F1 World mode for team-based competition against AI-controlled pilots. Joining it on the PS5 platform is Hunt: Showdown 1896. This extraction shooter from Crytek challenges players to track and eliminate monsters while surviving encounters with rival hunters. Players can tackle these missions alone or in groups of up to three, though failure results in the loss of significant progress accumulated during the session.
Earth Defense Force Arrives as September Games Expire
The final title in the collection, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, offers a voxel-based aesthetic and is available for both PS5 and PS4. The game features cooperative play for up to four participants online or two via split-screen, tasking players with rescuing soldiers across various missions to build their combat team.
As the new titles prepare to launch, Sony has issued a reminder that subscribers have until October 5 to claim the current monthly games. The September lineup, which consists of Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes, will be removed from the promotion once the new selection becomes available.
