Japanese Racing Legend Tetsuya Yamano Joins Project Motor Racing Factory Driver Program

TOKYO, JAPAN – Racing icon ‍Tetsuya Yamano, renowned ‌for ‍his success in Japanese GT racing-including a⁣ GT3000 championship win ⁢with three diffrent cars during the 2004-2005 season-has been selected for the⁣ factory driver program of Project Motor Racing. The appointment comes as Sega, the game’s Japanese‍ publisher, leverages Yamano’s expertise in a beta test initiative focused on ⁢refining⁣ the simulator’s‍ realism.

The program‌ recruits experienced simracers and‌ professional drivers to ⁣evaluate “Development Builds” and provide feedback through a dedicated portal. Yamano, despite limited prior experience with racing‌ games, was drawn to Project Motor Racing ‍ due to ‌its fidelity. he initially found discrepancies⁤ between ⁣virtual and real-world driving ⁢in other titles, ⁢stating ‌he⁣ felt “bad” at them⁤ and later distanced himself from gaming. However, he ⁣found Project Motor Racing offered a level of precision⁣ where “virtual ‍and really matches almost perfectly and becomes just as precise as a⁣ real car.”

Yamano’s participation underscores the game’s ⁢commitment to delivering a truly realistic driving ⁣experience for both casual and dedicated enthusiasts.
