A television series adaptation of Carley Fortune‘s 2022 novel, “Every Summer After,” is in development, wiht production set to begin in Ontario, Canada. The book, which has achieved over one million sales and spent 14 weeks on *The New York Times* best-seller list, chronicles a six-year romance set in the picturesque lakeside town of Barry’s Bay. The narrative focuses on the evolving relationship between best friends Percy and Sam, exploring themes of first love and enduring connections.
The series will be showrun by Amy B. Harris, who also serves as an executive producer. Fortune herself is an executive producer, joined by Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens, and Grace gilroy.Harris, who has an overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios, stepped into the showrunner role following the departure of Leila Gerstein due to “creative differences,” as confirmed by a source familiar with the production.

In addition to her work on “Every Summer After,” the article notes that Soverall is also slated to star in the fantasy thriller “I Am A Monster” for Iconoclast, alongside Havana Rose Liu. Cornett’s previous acting credits include “American High’s Summer of 69,” the upcoming comedy “Bad Counselors,” “Zombies 3,” “Zombies,” “Bella and The Bulldogs,” “Life in Pieces,” “Game Shakers,” and “criminal Minds.”
