Preußen Münster and RW Essen played to a 3-3 draw at the LVM-Preußenstadion in Munster. The 3. Liga match featured six goals, multiple substitutions, and a late equalizer scored by Joshua Mees in the 87th minute under overcast skies at 13°C.

Montell Ndikom opened the scoring for the hosts in the 16th minute at the LVM-Preußenstadion. RW Essen responded before halftime when José Enrique Ríos Alonso scored an equalizer in the 38th minute, bringing the score to 1-1. Late Equalizer Secures a Draw for the Hosts

Trailing late in the second half, Preußen Münster mounted a response. Joshua Mees scored the equalizing goal in the 87th minute, locking the final score at 3-3. Both managers utilized their benches extensively during the second half. RW Essen brought on Dickson Abiama and Marvin Obuz in the 61st minute, followed by Aiman Dardari and Lucas Brumme in the 72nd minute, and Michael Kostka with Jannik Hofmann.

Preußen Münster countered with substitutions of their own. Louis Kolbe and Charalambos Makridis entered in the 74th minute alongside Joshua Mees. Later tactical shifts in the 86th minute saw Mikail Demirhan, Romario Rösch, Marvin Schulz, Samuel Althaus, Mika Stuhlmacher, and Felix Higl take the pitch.

Injuries Sideline Several Players for Both Squads

Both squads managed significant roster gaps due to injuries heading into the fixture. Preußen Münster played without Simon Scherder and Malik Batmaz, both sidelined due to cruciate ligament injuries. RW Essen managed without Tony Menzel due to an ankle ligament injury, Ryan Johansson due to a thigh injury, and Tim-Justin Dietrich recovering from an ankle injury.

Ruben Reisig replaced Marek Janssen in the 85th minute for RW Essen.
