Portland Pilots Fall to Hawai’i in Close Battle

Portland battles, But falls 66-61 to Hawai’i

HONOLULU, HI – The Portland Pilots fought valiantly but ultimately fell to the Hawai’i Rainbow Wahine 66-61 in a hard-fought contest. Despite a strong offensive showing from beyond the arc and a dominant defensive performance, Portland was unable to overcome hawai’i’s resilience.

The Pilots showcased offensive firepower, knocking down nine three-pointers throughout the game. Portland’s defense stifled Hawai’i, holding them to 38.6% shooting from the field – the fourth time this season an opponent has been held under 40% shooting. The Portland bench contributed significantly, adding 19 points to the team’s total.

Portland forced 18 turnovers and tallied five blocks as a team,demonstrating thier defensive activity. They also controlled the offensive glass,collecting 12 offensive boards. Rhyan Mogel led the Pilots in scoring with 16 points, while Julia Dalan secured a game-high eight rebounds – a new career high for the Pilot. Dalan also added four blocks, marking her fourth game this season with multiple blocks.
