Pop Land Carnival Tour Arrives at Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower

Oriental Pearl Tower Hosts Pop Land Tour Until November 1

The Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai is currently hosting the Pop Land carnival tour through 1 November 2026. The Shanghai leg launched on 31 August 2026, featuring an opening ceremony at the tower’s outdoor plaza on 4 September 2026. This deployment places interactive gaming infrastructure directly inside a national 5A-rated tourist site.

The Tech TL;DR:
• The Pop Land tour runs at the Oriental Pearl Tower through 1 November 2026, offering nine interactive games in a dedicated carnival area.
• The Shanghai engagement splits across two distinct venues: the outdoor plaza at No 1 Century Avenue in Pudong New Area and an immersive walk-through experience at Shanghai No 1 Department Store in Huangpu district.

Shanghai Tower Sits on the Huangpu River Bank

Positioned at the tip of Lujiazui in Shanghai’s financial district, the tower sits directly on the bank of the Huangpu River. Across the water, historic buildings along the Bund create a distinct structural contrast to the surrounding high-rise skyline. At 468 metres tall, the physical complex includes sightseeing, dining, shopping, exhibitions, performances, and river tours into a single zone.

The lower sphere of the structure houses an outdoor sightseeing corridor facing the river and the urban core.

Operational Requirements for International Travellers

Mandarin serves as the official language, and transactions utilize the renminbi. Entry credentials depend on nationality; UK travellers can verify current protocols via FCDO travel guidance, while Irish citizens check updates through the Department of Foreign Affairs.
