Pomelli Photoshoot: Free AI Tool for Professional Product Photos & Marketing

Google Labs has launched “Photoshoot,” a new feature within its Pomelli AI marketing tool designed to generate professional-grade product images for small and medium-sized businesses. The tool, announced Tuesday, aims to simplify the creation of marketing assets for companies lacking dedicated marketing resources.

Photoshoot leverages what Google calls “Business DNA” – information about a company’s brand – and its Nano Banana image generation technology to transform existing product images into polished studio shots. Users commence by uploading a product image, then select from pre-designed templates, such as “studio” or “lifestyle,” or allow Pomelli to suggest options. The AI then automatically applies the business’s aesthetic to create the images.

The feature allows for refinement and editing, including background changes, such as swapping a background to a forest setting, and stylistic adjustments. Generated images can be downloaded or saved to the Business DNA for future apply in marketing campaigns, according to Google. The launch addresses a common challenge for smaller businesses: the demand for high-quality visuals to build customer trust.

Alongside Photoshoot, Google Labs has introduced improvements to its image generation models, promising increased accuracy in responding to prompts. The updated models also offer style referencing, allowing users to restyle images to match a specific aesthetic.

Pomelli, initially released as a free tool, is intended to help businesses create on-brand photos and marketing campaigns. The addition of Photoshoot expands the tool’s capabilities, offering a streamlined solution for generating professional product photography without the need for specialized equipment or expertise.
