From there, my interest grew even more, and now it’s something I look forward to doing every day.”

He invested in a DSLR camera, utilizing personal funds and a contribution from his parents. “Planespotting came natural to me as I love aviation and I love taking pictures,” Mark shared. “This hobby also allows me to show my work to the internet and meet fellow hobbyists which helps me to improve as a photographer.”

Jose started planespotting on February 8, 2024, after being introduced to the hobby by his friend, Mark (@sanjose_aviation). Both are students at San Jose State University (SJSU) studying aviation, with Jose pursuing a career as an airline pilot.”We would meet up by the fence close to runway 30L and start taking pics of all the planes landing and taking off,” Jose recounted. “He used his professional photography camera while I used an iPhone for taking pictures. A couple of months later I had bought myself the same camera as to what Mark has and that is what I have been using until now.”
