Samantha Brouwer, an early rider on the mountain, noted that while the initial turns felt unfamiliar after the summer break, the snow quality remained high with minimal ice present only on flatter lower sections.

Temperatures above freezing caused the snowpack to soften noticeably by 08:30, especially along upper slopes exposed to direct sunlight. The current operational window remains limited, running daily until 13:00 to preserve surface integrity during the warm early-autumn weather. Resort management stated that additional terrain openings in the coming weeks will depend strictly on natural snowfall and overnight temperature drops.
