Pisa Accounting Firm Operators Faced Prosecution for Unlicensed Services
Defendants Grazia Breghi, Pietro Randazzo, and Piero Battaglini faced prosecution after their Pisa-based accounting firm entered judicial liquidation and was declared bankrupt by the Tribunal of Pisa in 2024. According to the court’s findings, the trio operated in conspiracy, systematically running tax preparation and filing services through entities including Da.Ra System, Caf della Confcommercio per l’invio del 730, and Centro Servizi del Terziario Sas. The tribunal determined they exercised the profession of chartered accountant and expert bookkeeper without the requisite state certification.

Judge Imposes Territorial Bans and Security Restrictions on Defendants
Nunzia Catalano imposed strict territorial and security restrictions alongside the criminal convictions. Battaglini and Randazzo must remain within the Tuscany region. The court banned both individuals from possessing firearms, munitions, or explosives, and prohibited regular contact with individuals who have criminal records or security measures against them, excepting close family members and stable cohabitants. The authorities also revoked their passports, suspended the validity of any other travel documents for expatriation, and ordered them to carry a copy of the judicial decree for police inspections at any time.
