‘Pillion‘ Scoops Top Prize at British Independent Film Awards
London – Harry Lighton’s debut feature, Pillion, was the night’s big winner at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) held this evening in London, securing four awards including the coveted Best British Independent Film. Celia Imrie presented the award to the Pillion team. The film centers on a charismatic biker who impacts the life of a reserved young man, starring Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling.
The BIFA awards recognize and celebrate the best in British independent filmmaking. Pillion‘s success marks a important achievement for Lighton, who also took home the Best Debut Screenwriter award. The film was further recognized for its craft, winning in the categories of Best Costume Design and Best Make Up & Hair Design.
