Pillion‘ Scoops Top Prize at British Independent Film Awards

London – Harry Lighton’s debut‍ feature, Pillion, was the night’s big ‍winner at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) held this evening⁢ in London, securing four awards including the ​coveted ‍Best British Independent Film. Celia Imrie presented ​the award to the Pillion team. The film centers on ⁣a charismatic​ biker who impacts the life of a reserved young ⁢man, starring Alexander Skarsgård ⁣and Harry ⁤Melling.

The BIFA awards recognize and celebrate the best in British independent filmmaking. ‌ Pillion‘s‌ success marks a important achievement for Lighton, who also took home the Best Debut Screenwriter award. The film was further⁤ recognized⁢ for ⁣its⁣ craft, winning in the categories of Best Costume Design and Best Make Up & Hair Design.
