Yamashita Club Judokas Selected for National Team,Competing in Multiple International Tournaments
The yamashita Judo Club is celebrating the selection of two of its athletes,Luciana Julca Preciado and Angie Estrada callan,to the Peruvian National Judo Team. The declaration was made by Professor Giankarlo Leyton, who has also been summoned to join the national team’s technical staff.
Julca Preciado, a seasoned competitor with a strong record in both national and international tournaments, will represent peru in three upcoming events. she will first compete in the Junior World Championship, hosted in Peru from October 3rd to 9th, in the 57kg category. Following this, she will participate in the Grand Prix tournament, also held in Peru from October 10th to 13th, again in the 57kg division. Julca Preciado will compete in the Senior Pan american Open in Lima, October 13th-15th.
Estrada Callan, a rising star within the Yamashita Club, has been selected to compete in the Junior World Championship (October 3rd-9th) in the 52kg category.
“It is a huge pride to have two of our great warriors summoned to the National Judo Team of Peru,” said Professor Leyton. “Their selection is a testament to their talent, dedication, and hard work.”
Leyton emphasized that the athletes’ success reflects the discipline, consistency, and passion for judo fostered within the Yamashita family. He expressed confidence that both Judokas will proudly represent Peru and inspire future generations of athletes.
