“This is a milestone for Perplexity,” stated Aravind Srinivas, founder of Perplexity AI, in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He emphasized the potential of the partnership to fundamentally change how people access information through everyday dialogue. Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel shared a similar vision, explaining the goal is to make AI feel ”personal, social, and fun” – integrated into conversations and friendships rather than existing as a separate utility.
For Snapchat, the partnership is expected to increase user engagement and provide a more thorough ecosystem. Perplexity,in turn, gains access to a substantially larger audience, expanding its reach beyond its existing platform.
This deal reflects a broader industry trend of major social media platforms partnering with AI startups to improve user experience and introduce more intuitive, interactive features. The partnership positions Perplexity as a key player in the evolving landscape of conversational AI and its integration into daily online communication.
