Turin Film Festival Honors Paul Newman Centennial with Retrospective and Iconic Manifesto
The 43rd Turin Film Festival, scheduled for November 21-29, 2025, will pay tribute to the legendary Paul Newman on the centenary of his birth. The festival will feature a extensive retrospective and a striking manifesto image capturing Newman’s enduring legacy.
In a move that continues its tradition of celebrating cinematic titans, the Turin Film Festival (TFF) has announced that its 43rd edition, set to run from November 21 to 29, 2025, will be dedicated to the iconic Paul Newman. The festival will mark the centenary of the beloved actor’s birth with a curated selection of 24 films that span his remarkable career, from his early days in the 1950s to his international breakthroughs and his later, more profound performances.Newman, renowned for his magnetic charisma, intense acting, and expressive gaze, brought to life unforgettable characters that have left an indelible mark on global audiences.
The official manifesto for the festival features a powerful photograph of Newman taken in 1981 on the set of Sydney pollack’s “Absence of Malice.” The image, captured by Eva Sereny and licensed through Iconic Images, encapsulates the actor’s enduring appeal.

The Turin film Festival is organized by the National Cinema Museum of Turin and receives support from the Ministry of Culture – Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual, the Piedmont Region, the City of Turin, the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, and the CRT foundation.
