Park Min Young and Yook Sungjae Star in Nine to Six
Kang Yi-ji, a perfectionist legal team deputy manager at Chronic Motors, clashes with new intern Han Sun-woo over a dropped phone in the street. The upcoming 12-episode romance drama “Nine to Six” stars Park Min-young as Kang Yi-ji and Yook Sung-jae as Han Sun-woo, bringing together two characters with sharply contrasting views on logic, love, and the workplace.
Contrasting Personalities at Chronic Motors
Kang Yi-ji operates as a rational workaholic who treats love and romance as little more than a passing chemical impulse. Her mother pushed her toward law rather than her original interest in astronomy. Now a senior manager on the Chronic Motors legal team in Seoul, she has carved out a successful career in a male-dominated environment. Her orderly routine faces disruption not only from her new intern but also from Park Hyun-tae, an executive director who recently returned from the company’s European headquarters and respects Yi-ji’s professional competence.
Han Sun-woo approaches his new role with a vastly different outlook. The character is a law school graduate who previously pursued passions in jewelry design. Described as a warm-hearted and emotional sunshine intern, Sun-woo trusts his instincts over cold logic. The series is based on the hit Chinese television series “The Rational Life.” In newly released preview stills, Yi-ji blocks Sun-woo’s path on the street after picking up his dropped phone, examining him with a sharp gaze and citing relevant legal clauses while a flustered Sun-woo insists there is a misunderstanding.
