Parisian wedding Weekend Blends Art, History for ‌Charles ⁤Porch and‌ Robert Denning

PARIS -⁤ Charles Porch and Robert Denning celebrated their marriage with a multi-day wedding weekend steeped in Parisian⁢ art and history, hosting‌ guests at iconic ‌locations including the Musée Rodin, Hôtel de⁣ la Marine, and Château ‍de Villette. The couple, who share childhood memories ⁤of Paris, chose the city as the ideal backdrop for their celebration.

“Charles ⁣is half French,”‍ Robert Denning ‌noted. “And both he and I have childhood memories of everywhere from ⁤the Musée D’Orsay to the Petit Palais. Paris was‍ the perfect decision.”

Le Bristol hotel served as the central ‌hub for the weekend, accommodating all guests.‌ The couple intentionally ‍fostered a sense of community, hoping for⁤ spontaneous connections.”We loved ⁤knowing that if anyone met in the lobby,or the hallways,it would be a meeting of friends ‌who had⁢ not ⁣yet met,” Denning explained. He added that the hotel staff transformed Le Bristol into a “family home” for the weekend, surprising the couple with framed photos placed throughout the building. The ⁢festivities began with a welcome party ⁣in the hotel courtyard⁣ on Thursday night. Friday’s ceremony took place in the gardens of the⁤ Musée Rodin, followed by a reception ⁣and dinner at the Hôtel‍ de la Marine. The weekend culminated in a black-tie celebration ⁣at Château de‌ Villette.

Denning highlighted the ‌diverse guest list,⁢ which‌ included a former Secretary of State alongside family ⁢members experiencing⁣ international travel for the first time. “watching everyone ⁢get along so well ⁣over the course of the weekend brought⁣ me so much joy,” he said. For ⁢their wedding attire, Porch and Denning⁣ collaborated‍ with stylist Jamie Mizrahi, opting for⁢ a‌ coordinated but not matching aesthetic. They chose a ⁢cocktail dress code for the wedding day and ⁢black-tie for the final celebration.”Neither of us wanted to wear white ⁣for the official events,” Denning ⁢added, noting he⁤ wore white pants to the welcome party and encouraged guests ⁢to⁤ do the same,⁣ with some even re-wearing cherished⁤ wedding⁢ dresses.

The couple entrusted the logistical details to Riccardo Lanza of Lanza‍ and Baucina and his team after securing the venues. “Jumping in to fill in a few details here and there,”‌ Porch said.
