East Berlin, PA – Pamela A. Cashman, a beloved member of the East Berlin community and lifelong devotee of Zwingli United Church of Christ, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, at the age of 73. Her death marks a loss for the local music and holistic wellness circles she actively participated in.
Born April 29, 1951, in York, Pennsylvania, to john and Joanne (Green) Eisenhart, Pam dedicated 54 years of her life to her family, faith, and personal growth. She was a graduate of Spring Grove High School, class of 1969, before returning to education later in life.
Pam’s vocal talent was a defining characteristic,nurtured within the Zwingli UCC choir for decades. Fellow choir members recall her soprano voice consistently elevating the spiritual experience for the congregation. Beyond her musical contributions, Pam demonstrated a commitment to lifelong learning, earning an associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at age 42 from York County Community College in 1993. She further expanded her expertise, becoming a certified Reiki Master and Aromatherapist, offering these services privately to friends and family.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Pam is remembered for her unwavering faith and compassionate spirit. She was actively involved in local community events through Zwingli UCC, often volunteering her time for church suppers and fundraising activities.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Cashman, whom she married on June 21, 1974, at Zwingli UCC; two daughters, wendy K. Cashman of East Berlin and Molly L. Cashman of New Oxford; a grandson, jude M. Cashman and his wife Taylor M. (Sipling) cashman of New Oxford; two great-grandchildren, Hazel Cashman, 6, and jack Cashman, 4, both of New Oxford; a brother, Mark Eisenhart of East Berlin; and a sister, Judy Givens of York.
A party of Pam’s life will be held on Saturday, august 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Zwingli U.C.C., located at 403 W. King st,East Berlin,with Rev. Rhonda Feiser officiating. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 9:00 AM. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Zwingli U.C.C., 403 W. King St, East Berlin, PA 17305.
