Pakistan’s Afghan Exports Surge 38.68%
Trade Boost Signals Growing Economic Ties
Pakistan’s trade with Afghanistan has experienced a significant uptick, with exports climbing nearly 40% in the most recent fiscal year, according to officials from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Trade Figures Reveal Strong Growth
In fiscal year 2025, Pakistan’s goods and services exports to Afghanistan reached $773.89 million, a substantial increase from the $558.03 million recorded in fiscal year 2024. This marks a 38.68% rise year-on-year.
The monthly trade figures also show positive momentum. June 2025 exports to Afghanistan were valued at $50.23 million, up from $46.41 million in June 2024, indicating an 8.24% increase for that specific month.
Afghan Imports to Pakistan Also Increase
Imports from Afghanistan into Pakistan also saw an upward trend. For fiscal year 2025, these imports totaled $25.90 million, a notable jump from the $11.96 million reported in the previous fiscal year.
