Oppo K15 Pro: Specs, Colors & Release Date Revealed
Oppo will launch its K15 Pro series smartphones on April 1 in China, featuring models designed for gaming with integrated cooling fans and substantial battery capacity. The company has begun accepting pre-orders for both the K15 Pro and the standard K15 models, according to recent announcements.
The K15 Pro series represents a shift in branding for Oppo’s mid-range performance phones, moving away from the “Turbo” moniker used in previous iterations like the K13 Turbo Pro. This change signals a more premium approach to the segment, according to industry observers.
Oppo has showcased the K15 Pro in four color options: Cyber Wings, Origin Gray, Light Dust Pink, and Golden Legend. The Golden Legend variant distinguishes itself with a unique back panel incorporating aerospace-grade carbon fiber arranged randomly, accented with gold leaf fragments.
A key design element across all models is the inclusion of RGB LEDs on the rear of the device. These LEDs are configured in an oval around the flash, a vertical strip on the right side, and a smaller pill-shaped light in the lower right corner. The camera module as well houses an active cooling fan, which can be customized.
The K15 Pro will be equipped with an 8,000mAh battery and support 100W wired charging. It will be available in configurations with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. The standard K15 Pro features a 6.59-inch 1.5K flat OLED display, while the K15 Pro+ boasts a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate.
The K15 Pro+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, reaching a clock speed of 3.73GHz, and includes up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Its camera system comprises a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, paired with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The base K15 Pro utilizes the Dimensity 8500 chipset with a maximum clock speed of 3.4 GHz and a battery capacity ranging from 7,400mAh to 7,500mAh.
Alongside the K15 Pro series, Oppo will also unveil the Watch X3 Mini and Enco Clip 2 earbuds on April 1.
