Once Human Coming to PC and Consoles
Starry Studio has confirmed that its supernatural open-world survival game, Once Human, is currently in development for console platforms. While the title originally launched on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in July 2024, the developer is now actively working to expand the game’s reach to PlayStation and Xbox hardware.
Console Expansion Timeline
The developer announced the move toward console releases following the game’s initial success on PC. As of the latest updates from the studio, there is no finalized release date for the console versions. Starry Studio has indicated that the development team is prioritizing technical optimization to ensure the game’s complex open-world mechanics translate effectively to home consoles.

The studio has not yet specified which console generations will receive the port, nor have they confirmed if cross-platform play will be available at launch. Currently, Once Human remains a PC-exclusive experience, where players engage in a "New Weird" survival setting characterized by post-apocalyptic exploration and supernatural combat.
Current PC Performance and Development
Since its release, Once Human has maintained a consistent cycle of content updates. Starry Studio continues to manage the game’s live-service model, which includes seasonal scenarios that reset server progress while allowing players to retain certain cosmetic and character-specific unlocks.
The transition to consoles follows a period of rapid player growth on PC, where the title peaked at hundreds of thousands of concurrent users shortly after its July debut. The development team has stated that feedback from the PC community is currently being integrated into the ongoing refinement of the game’s systems, which will serve as the foundation for the upcoming console builds.
The studio has not provided a public roadmap detailing the specific milestones for the console port’s development. Future updates regarding platform availability and technical specifications remain pending further internal testing.
