Olsztyn-Mazury Airport lands Exclusive Cargo Partnership with Lulu International
OLSZTYN, POLAND – Olsztyn-mazury Airport has secured an exclusive two-year partnership with Y International Polska, a Polish company within the Lulu International group, to handle cargo air service and exports to the Persian gulf. The agreement positions the regional airport as a key export hub for products originating from the Warmia and Mazury region of Poland.
The collaboration, initiated in 2023, streamlines the export process for Polish goods, according to Y International Polska President Wiktor Wójcik. “We take goods to the Lulu chain of stores, and also others through distributors. And these are mostly produced products in Warmia and Mazury,” Wójcik explained.
Exports currently include dairy, meat, caviar from Olsztyn-based sturgeon farms-destined for global distribution via Dubai-and seasonal blueberries, with “several dozen tons” shipped to the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
The airport facilitates a secure and efficient supply chain, handling all export documentation, temperature control, and security checks. Goods are consolidated into containers, sealed at Olsztyn-Mazury Airport, and transported to Warsaw Chopin Airport for direct loading onto aircraft. Y International Polska maintains partnerships with LOT Cargo, Emirates SkyCargo, and various ground service companies to ensure seamless transport.
“Such a load goes to the container, it is sealed and is taken to the Chopin Airport in Warsaw, where he no longer has to go to the same procedures, wait in a queue, but can go straight to the plane’s hold,” Wójcik added.
