O2 to Sponsor Live Music Inspiration Award at 2025 Women In music Awards
LONDON, UK – June 12, 2024 - Telecommunications giant O2 has announced its sponsorship of teh Live Music Inspiration category at the 2025 Women In Music Awards, further cementing its commitment to the UK’s vibrant live music scene. The awards ceremony, a key event celebrating the achievements of women and female-identifying professionals in the music industry, will be held on Friday, October 10th at the JW Marriott Grosvenor house london.
this year’s edition promises to recognize the significant contributions of women across all facets of the music business, from leading executives and groundbreaking artists to dedicated campaigners and vital support staff. The Women In Music Awards are organized in association with AIM and UK Music.
O2’s sponsorship underscores the company’s deep involvement in live music, a sector it states is “in our DNA.” Jayd Williams, Head of Music partnerships and Sponsorship at Virgin Media O2, highlighted the scale of this commitment: “We sponsor 20 venues across the UK and sell over 1.5 million tickets each year through Priority.”

Last year’s winner of the Live Music inspiration category was Emma Bownes, SVP, Venue Programming at AEG Europe. The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrably inspired others within the live music sector.
