NYPD Seeks Suspect After Attempted Rape in Brooklyn

NYPD Investigating Attempted Rape ​in East Williamsburg,⁢ Brooklyn; ​Asks​ Public for ‌Help

BROOKLYN,⁤ NY – The New‌ York Police Department is urging the public to assist in locating a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted rape that⁢ occurred in the East ⁢Williamsburg neighborhood⁢ of Brooklyn on the night of Friday, ​October 24th.

According to​ police ⁢reports, a‍ woman in her late 20s was approached by an unidentified man as she was entering a ‍residence in the vicinity of Cook Street and Avenue of Puerto rico (also‌ known as Graham Avenue). The suspect⁣ allegedly forced his way into the‌ home.

Investigators state that the man then exposed himself⁤ and‍ attempted to ‍remove the ⁢woman’s clothing. He subsequently fled the scene, heading southbound‌ on Graham ⁣Avenue. ​ Fortunately, the woman did ‌not ⁤sustain any physical injuries during the incident.

The brooklyn Special Victims Squad is leading the investigation and‍ has released images ⁣of the suspect to the public. A distinctive feature‍ noted by investigators is a cursive tattoo located above the suspect’s eyebrow.
