Nusron Wahid missed KPK questioning, prompting forced pickup weigh-in
Indonesian Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Nusron Wahid missed a scheduled questioning by the Corruption Eradication Commission on October 15, 2026, prompting investigators to weigh a forced pickup.
Second Absence at the Merah Putih Building
Nusron failed to appear for a rescheduled investigative interview at the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta South, as tirto.id reported. Investigators had previously summoned him on October 7, 2026, but he missed that initial date due to scheduling conflicts within his ministry. Budi, a spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, stated that investigators received no prior explanation or confirmation regarding the minister’s absence for the October 15 appearance.
“After we waited, the person concerned did not show up for today’s scheduled examination, and we also have not received confirmation of the reason for the absence,” Budi told reporters at the commission’s headquarters. The agency previously set eight individuals as suspects in the bribery investigation tied to the ministry, including high-ranking officials and prominent business figures.

Investigators Weigh Forced Pickup After Seizing 106.3 Billion Rupiah
Investigators are actively weighing a forced pickup to ensure the legal process moves forward efficiently. Despite the missed appointment, Budi expressed confidence that Nusron will ultimately honor his legal responsibilities as a public official and citizen. The investigation centers on alleged corruption within the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning, which led to the seizure of 106.3 billion rupiah in cash kept across 20 suitcases, boxes, and cardboard containers.
The suspect list includes Lampri, Director General of Land and Spatial Control and Land Tenure at the ministry, alongside Sontang Coin Manurung, head of the Bogor Regency Land Office. Agung Adrianto Pitojo Adhi, president director of PT Summarecon, and private party Rizal Fahlevi also face charges. Four other suspects are identified by investigators as associates of Nusron: former Kebumen Regent Arif Sugiyanto, Golkar politician Fahd El Fouz alias Fahd A. Rafiq, and private individuals Erwin and Muhammad Fakhry.
