Nintendo Fans Anticipate News Amidst Silence on metroid Prime 4
The lack of recent updates regarding Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has sparked concern among fans that the game’s release may face further delays. Nintendo will likely aim to avoid additional postponements.
The upcoming year also marks the 40th anniversary of super Mario Bros. Nintendo previously commemorated the 35th anniversary with limited-time releases like Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. 35, alongside the opening of Super Nintendo World. Nintendo is already planning to celebrate the 40th anniversary with the release of the Super mario Bros. Movie Sequel. Potential game-related celebrations, including re-releases of existing 3D Mario titles, remain unconfirmed, though the possibility of a reveal related to a new 3D Mario game for the next Nintendo console exists.
A notable Nintendo Direct presentation is anticipated in September, continuing a tradition established since 2016 (with a break last year for the announcement of the Switch 2).
Currently, Nintendo’s confirmed Switch 2 lineup for the remainder of 2025 includes Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World on August 28, followed by Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on October 16, and Kirby Air Riders on November 20.
The question remains whether Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will launch in September or later in the year, potentially arriving before the end of December. Fans are hoping for a definitive announcement soon.
