Nikon Announces Silver Edition of Popular Z f Mirrorless Camera
TOKYO – Nikon Corporation has announced the release of a silver version of its full-frame/FX-format Z f mirrorless camera, responding to customer demand. The Z f combines a retro design inspired by classic Nikon film cameras with modern full-frame performance.Since its initial launch, the Z f has proven popular with photographers. Alongside the new silver finish, nikon is adding three new color options – Cognac Brown (embossed texture), Teal blue, and Mauve Pink – to its Premium Exterior customization program, available for both the new silver and original black Z f versions.
A future firmware update, scheduled for release within 2025, will introduce a Film Grain feature, allowing users to add adjustable grain to both photos and videos with three size options and six strength options. Nikon states this feature, combined with Imaging Recipes and picture Controls, will expand creative possibilities and enable film-like expression.
Nikon says it will continue to innovate in optical performance and contribute to the development of imaging culture.
