Nicki Minaj Announces new Album, Targeting 2026 Release
Queens rapper Nicki Minaj has revealed plans for a new album, slated for release on March 27, 2026. The artist shared the date on her X account Wednesday (September 24), accompanied by a compact disc emoji, offering no further details about the project.
This announcement arrives as Minaj continues to build momentum following the success of 2023’s Pink friday 2 and its subsequent 2024 world tour. While largely focused on touring and select collaborations since that album, the forthcoming release positions Minaj to remain a dominant force in hip-hop, particularly as competitor Cardi B’s new album, am I The Drama?, is projected to debut at number one on the Billboard 200.The new album will also follow Minaj’s 10th Anniversary Edition of Pink Friday released last November.
Minaj has maintained a presence in music through guest appearances, including remixes of Lil Wayne’s “Banned from N.O.” and Juice Wrld’s “AGATS2 (Insecure)” in 2025. Though, she has also been actively engaged in public discourse this summer, sparking conversations on social media regarding financial matters and industry relationships.
In july, Minaj publicly addressed Jay-Z, alleging an outstanding debt related to her contributions to Tidal. “We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far,” she wrote on X. “Jayz call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest. You still in my TOP 5 tho. Let’s get it ni**a.and anyone still calling him Hov will answer to God for the blasphemy.” She also engaged in a public dispute with SZA and Top Dawg Entertainment president Punch during the same period.
