Giants Add Kicker Younghoe Koo, Make Roster Moves Ahead of week ⁤10 Matchup‌ with Raiders

The New York Giants bolstered their ⁣special teams on Saturday, signing kicker⁢ Younghoe Koo off the practice⁤ squad.This move comes ‍as the Giants prepare for their Week 10 contest against‍ the Las Vegas Raiders. Koo, who ⁤was released by the Atlanta Falcons on​ September 23rd, brings a proven track record to New York, having⁢ made⁤ a‍ Pro Bowl ⁢in 2020.

KooS addition addresses the Giants’ ⁣need for kicking ⁣stability. Throughout his career, spanning⁢ 93 ⁤games ‌with the Los Angeles chargers and Atlanta ‌Falcons, he has converted 181 of 211 field goal attempts (85.8 percent), ‍with a long of 58 yards​ – a kick he made with ⁢two seconds remaining in a 26-24 ​victory over the ‍New⁣ Orleans Saints⁢ in Week 4 of the 2024 ⁣season.He’s also demonstrated accuracy at various distances, ⁤going 52-for-52 inside 30 yards and 52-for-56 ​from 30-39 yards. Koo has accumulated 718 total points, with 700 kicking ​points for the ​Falcons ranking third in franchise history.

In ⁤addition to signing Koo, the‌ Giants elevated linebackers Zaire Barnes and Tomon Fox from the practice squad to the active roster. however, the team also ⁤placed linebackers Collins and Muasau on injured reserve.

Meanwhile,the Chicago Bears announced several inactives and injury designations for their upcoming game. Defensive back Josh Blackwell (concussion), linebacker T.J. Edwards ⁢(hand/hamstring),​ defensive lineman ⁢Dominique Robinson (ankle), and wide​ receiver Jahdae Walker (concussion) have been ruled out. Running back⁢ D’Andre Swift (groin) and tight end Durham smythe (calf) are listed as questionable. The Bears also elevated tight end Stephen Carlson from their practice squad, signed ‍linebacker Carl Jones Jr. to the practice squad, and released wide receiver Miles Boykin from the practice squad.
