A New Hampshire man is facing charges after a four-vehicle crash in Waterbury, Vermont, on Sunday night. Vermont State Police responded to the scene on Sunday,January 19,2026,at approximately 9:45 PM,according to Vermont State Police reports.
Authorities identified the driver as Michael J. Davis, 38, of Littleton, New Hampshire. Preliminary examination indicates Davis was operating a 2018 Ford F-150 southbound on Route 100 when he crossed the center line and collided with a 2021 Honda CRV traveling northbound. The impact then caused a chain reaction, involving a 2015 Toyota Camry and a 2019 Subaru Forester.
The driver of the Honda CRV, identified as Sarah Miller, 29, of Stowe, Vermont, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Copley Hospital for treatment.The occupants of the Toyota Camry and Subaru Forester reported no injuries. Davis was evaluated at the scene and later taken into custody.
Davis is being charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offence, and careless and imprudent driving. He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court on February 16, 2026. Washington County court data is available online.
