Netflix Hit From Set to End With Season 5 After Streaming Success

November 8, 2026 Rachel Kim – Technology Editor Technology

“I don’t want it to end, because I’m enjoying it,” Harold Perrineau told Yahoo Canada about the horror and sci-fi series From.

After the first three seasons landed on Netflix in the U.S., Americans have driven the Nova Scotia-filmed series to the top of the streaming charts, Yahoo Canada reported.

The Tech TL;DR:

  • The horror series From topped the Nielsen streaming charts with 1.65 billion minutes viewed during the week of Oct. 19.
  • All three seasons currently sit among the Top 10 shows on Netflix in the U.S.
  • The series will arrive on the Canadian Netflix site on Nov. 24, following its runs on MGM+ and Paramount+.

The series generated the largest weekly total for any acquired series this year during the week of Oct. 19, according to Yahoo Canada. Trailing just behind on the charts was the Netflix series The Diplomat, which pulled in 1.19 billion minutes of viewership during the same week.

Created by John Griffin, the narrative follows residents trapped in a mysterious town surrounded by a forest of nocturnal creatures. The ensemble cast features Canadian actors Elizabeth Saunders, Scott McCord, Pegah Ghafoori, Corteon Moore, Avery Konrad, Chloe Van Landschoot, David Alpay, Hannah Cheramy, Ricky He, and Robert Joy, alongside lead actor Harold Perrineau.

Production has officially begun on the fifth and final season of the series. Griffin, showrunner Jeff Pinkner, and director Jack Bender stated in an April 15 joint release reported by Yahoo Canada that they are excited to see the story through to its conclusion.

We are wildly excited to announce that we’ve officially begun work on Season 5. Which means we will get the chance to see our story to its conclusion.

Reflecting on the audience response, Saunders shared her experience connecting with viewers who follow the show. She noted that fan engagement has been overwhelmingly positive throughout her time on the series.
