Netflix confirms cast for Solo Leveling live-action series
Netflix has officially confirmed the cast members for its upcoming live-action adaptation of Solo Leveling, anchored by Byeon Woo Seok as Sung Jin Woo, according to a lineup announcement detailed on October 7, 2026.
Byeon Woo Seok and Han So Hee Lead the Cast
The streaming platform confirmed that Byeon Woo Seok will take on the role of Sung Jin Woo, a low-ranking E-class hunter who gains extraordinary powers after surviving an event that almost took his life. According to reporting by Medcom, Sung Jin Woo’s character develops throughout the series to become a hope for humanity in facing the threat of monsters. Alongside him, Han So Hee joins the project as Cha Hae In, recognized as the ninth S-class hunter in South Korea and the only female hunter holding that specific rank. Pontianak Post notes that Cha Hae In’s primary weapon in the narrative is a long sword.
Supporting Hunters and Guild Leaders Confirmed
The production rounds out its cast with Kang You Seok stepping into the role of Yoo Jin Ho, the second son of the wealthy Yoojin Group who becomes a partner and supporter of Sung Jin Woo. Antaranews reports that Sung Joon will portray Woo Jin Chul, an A-class hunter and chief inspector of the Korea Hunters Association’s surveillance team who first notices changes in Sung Jin Woo. Lee Sung Min and Rain will also appear in special supporting roles. Lee Sung Min plays Go Gun Hee, the retired high-ranking hunter who leads the Korean Hunters Association, while Rain takes on the role of Baek Yoon Ho, the head of the White Tiger Guild and an S-class hunter capable of transforming into a magical beast.
Evolution From Web Novel to Live-Action Series
The project adapts the property that originated as a web novel before expanding into a webtoon and an animated series. While the initial casting lineup was announced, and Medcom and Pontianak Post outlined the specific hunter ranks and character backgrounds, exact production timelines and premiere dates for the live-action adaptation remain unannounced by Netflix.
