Tourism Ireland Sponsors Live Broadcast from Kenmare
The live international broadcast represents the culmination of years of planning sponsored by Tourism Ireland, according to Tourism Ireland’s Director of Markets & Partnerships, Siobhán McManamy. McManamy stated that having four hours of live broadcast from Kenmare provides valuable reach in a competitive US market. General manager of Sheen Falls Lodge Brian Loughnane described the production logistics as extraordinary, noting that 100 crew members, 20 palettes of gear, two generator trucks, and metres of cables were deployed to support a stage constructed behind the hotel with Kenmare Bay as the backdrop.

Presenter Itinerary and Regional Features
The full seven-host line-up traveled to Kerry for the event, featuring Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Craig Melvin, and Jenna Bush Hager. Veteran broadcaster Al Roker said the team wanted to share the island’s food, crafts, culture, and fun, while jokingly thanking Met Éireann’s Gerry Murphy for the autumnal sunshine. The production team also visited other Irish locations ahead of the broadcast, including a stop at the Hanna Hats workshop in Donegal Town. Established in 1924 by David Hanna Senior, the family-run business welcomed the NBC team to showcase its handmade caps and accessories. Other segments included Al Roker exploring a generational Irish dairy farm, Carson Daly uncovering Irish roots, and Savannah Guthrie visiting the Cliffs of Moher before traveling to the Aran Islands.
Guest Stars and Local Artists Showcase Irish Culture
Irish journalist Samantha Barry served as the guest host for the day, focusing on modern Irish brands, craft, food, and beauty. Actors Domhnall Gleeson and Sharon Horgan appeared as guests alongside performances from the Riverdance troupe. Students from Coláiste Íde taught the hosts everyday Gaeilge phrases, while chefs Mark Moriarty and Gemma Stafford demonstrated Irish food preparation. Additional features highlighted Adare Manor in County Limerick—set to host the Ryder Cup in 2027—and a farm-to-table segment at Ballymaloe.
