Namjatown to host New Prince of Tennis Yamabuki event

October 21, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Namjatown in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City will host the sixth installment of the New Prince of Tennis festival series, featuring a dedicated Yamabuki-themed event from October 27 through November 23, 2026. The venue will offer themed merchandise, mini-games, and a specialized dessert and food menu centered around the Yamabuki Junior High tennis squad.

Fans visiting the Ikebukuro location can access exclusive merchandise featuring eight characters: Kentaro Minami, Seiichi Sengoku, Jin Akutsu, Masami Higashide, Inakichi Nitobe, Juji Muromachi, Kazuma Kita, and Taichi Dan.

Collector Items Range from 600 to 2,200 Yen

Collector items include open-package acrylic stands priced at 1,800 yen each, measuring within 110 by 160 millimeters. Two-piece bromide photograph sets sell for 600 yen in standard L-size format, while big acrylic plate keyholders featuring the eight-character roster cost 2,200 yen apiece at a dimension of 200 by 90 millimeters. An acrylic rubber accessory collection featuring the same character lineup will be available in random blind packaging at 880 yen per individual item.

For visitors participating in on-site activities, a tennis-themed garapon mini-game priced at 600 yen per turn grants prizes based on the color of the ball drawn from the rotation. The top-tier A prize consists of a two-ring acrylic charm measuring within 90 by 90 millimeters where participants select their preferred character design. The B prize is a 65-millimeter tin badge with selectable character imagery, and the C prize delivers instant-photo-style illustration sheets measuring 54 by 86 millimeters distributed on a random basis across a 16-variant pool.

Character Inspired Menu Items Include Stew and Crepes

Dining options introduce character-inspired menu items designed for the collaborative run. The selection includes a genovese stew priced at 1,500 yen and an ice float beverage priced at 1,300 yen. Custom crepes start at 900 yen, and soft drinks bundled with a random acrylic coaster retail for 1,200 yen. Each food or dessert purchase includes a ticket-style illustration sheet where buyers choose their preferred design, though custom crepes and the coaster-bundled drinks are excluded from this specific bonus item.

The event grounds within Sunshine City will incorporate dedicated photo spots for attendees. Official details regarding operations and any potential schedule adjustments remain accessible through the New Prince of Tennis festival in NAMJATOWN event site, alongside updates published on the Namjatown official website and the Namjatown official X account.
